I am really proud of how well most of you performed first semester. It was a great experience to see the positive growth that so many of you showed. The course probably seemed a little overwhelming at first, but second semester APES generally seems a little easier for students. The content is no easier or harder during second semester; it is that you have adapted to the rigor of a challenging and fast-paced course and you should now be very comfortable with time management, searching for information and thinking abstractly. Having those skills will make most classes feel easier now and I truly hope that you want to continue to hone your skills as a student more during second semester so that college, the work force or any other venture becomes second nature to you after high school. From the first day of the semester, we have 37 class cycles until the AP exam so be ready to move quick. I am sincerely looking forward to working with you all for another semester!
